The Ideal Series honors the amazing art of well - known equine artist Orren Mixer (1920 - 2008) and his beloved horse subjects. This is the fourth in the series. Each hand - painted item in this collection was inspired by one of Mixer’s famous “ideal” horse breed paintings. The Appaloosa, with its distinct look and adaptability, is truly lovable. The Appaloosa Horse Club (ApHC) was founded in 1938 to preserve and enhance the Appaloosa breed. Now, it's an international breed registry with over 600,000 Appaloosas on record.
